New application deadlines and guidelines now available for all KCAIC grant programs

The Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission (KCAIC) has announced that new deadlines and updated application guidelines and forms are available for the Creative Economy Project Support grant, Strategic Investment Program and Arts Integration Program. Application deadlines for KCAIC programs follow.

Creative Economy Project Support:
Initial Application Deadline: Sept.1, 2014
Full Application Deadline: Nov. 7, 2014

The Creative Economy Project Support program encourages dynamic partnerships among cultural, business and public sectors to help communities address cultural and economic development goals through a wide variety of creative placemaking initiatives. This highly competitive program leverages the creative assets intrinsic in Kansas communities to stimulate the local economy, strengthen the role of arts and culture, promote regional identity and enhance the quality of life for its citizens. Funds may be used to support a single activity or a suite of related activities that are not already supported through a current KCAIC program.

Strategic Investment Program:
Rolling Application Deadlines: Sept. 1, 2014, Nov. 7, 2014 and Feb. 2015

The Strategic Investment Program recognizes the important role individual artists and creative organizations play in building and sustaining cultural and economic vibrancy in Kansas. By funding a variety of professional and organizational development opportunities that impact cultural programming, these grants support initiatives that use the arts to enhance community vitality, revitalize neighborhoods, generate local business, create and preserve job opportunities and impact tourism.

Arts Integration Program:
Rolling Application Deadlines: Sept. 1, 2014, Nov. 7, 2014 and Feb. 2015

Arts Integration Program grants support the role the arts play in all levels of education, community service and workforce development. This program provides funding for educational institutions, arts organizations and community service non-profits to use the arts to increase student success, foster creative thinking, develop critical job skills and enhance community development.
