The Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Affairs Commission, in collaboration with the Olathe Latino Coalition, will host the Kansas Hispanic Entrepreneurs Expo on Nov. 12 in Olathe. The expo will offer entrepreneurs and small business owners networking opportunities and a series of workshops designed to help start and grow a business.
WHO/WHAT: The Kansas Hispanic Entrepreneurs Expo will include exhibitors and networking opportunities. Workshops will be offered at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Attendees will have the option to participate in one workshop during each timeslot. Carlos Fernandez, a Wichita native and high-tech entrepreneur, will be the keynote speaker during dinner.
The following workshops will be offered:
• 4 p.m. – Resources for starting and growing a business.• 4 p.m. – Restaurant 101.• 4 p.m. – Marketing a business and social media.• 7 p.m. – Developing a business plan.• 7 p.m. – Introduction to Quick Books.• 7 p.m. – How to handle a family business.
WHEN/WHERE: The expo will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Indian Creek Community Church, 12480 South Blackbob Road, Olathe, Kansas 66062.
