Kansas Main Street announces workshops for new city applicants

The Kansas Main Street Program has scheduled two workshops for those interested in learning more about this unique program. Kansas Main Street, sponsored by the Department of Commerce, encourages the development and revitalization of downtown commercial districts in communities across Kansas. The program offers management training, consulting, program evaluation, design assistance, business enhancement strategies, incentive dollars and training opportunities to designated communities with populations of less than 50,000. Communities become designated Main Street cities through a competitive application process.

WHAT: Two workshops sponsored by Kansas Main Street through the Department of Commerce.

WHEN/WHERE: 1-5 p.m., Feb. 16, at the Dodge City Library, 101 N. 2nd Ave., Dodge City, Kan. 67801, and 1-5 p.m., Feb. 17, at the Columbian Theatre, 521 Lincoln St., Wamego, Kan. 66547.
