Netsmart Technologies will establish its permanent headquarters in Overland Park after an extensive site search. Netsmart, a health care IT company, has plans to grow its employee count from the current 40 to 120 by the time it moves into its new headquarters at 4960 College Boulevard in June. Company officials expect the employee base to grow to 500 over the next five years.
“As the industry leader, we have an obligation to our clients to be cause-connected, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking as we develop solutions that help transform the delivery of care through technology,” said Mike Valentine, Netsmart CEO. “Our mission is to lead through new technology innovations that, in turn, allow caregivers to redefine how they serve and connect with the people they serve. And the really exciting part is that this isn’t just a future goal -- we are engaged in some unbelievably transformative initiatives with our clients today. This building and location will allow us to create solutions in a revolutionary way.”
The new 100,000-square-foot headquarters will allow employees and clients to collaborate on health care solutions and help people attain healthier lives.
“Netsmart Technologies is an expanding company in a fast growing niche in the healthcare sector,” said Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback. “I’m glad that Kansas could provide the right business environment, a skilled workforce and a great quality of life to help Netsmart meet its growth plans. I look forward to the continued success of the company moving forward.”
“It’s always great news for Kansas, when a company like Netsmart decides to relocate its headquarters to our state,” said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. “I’m excited that our state was the right fit for the company’s future growth and development.”
“We are excited Netsmart has chosen Overland Park for its headquarters,” said Carl Gerlach, Mayor of Overland Park. “Netsmart is poised to be a leader in the health care IT industry. The company’s requirements for highly-skilled employees are a terrific match with Overland Park.”
