The state’s top nominees will be invited to the Kansas Cavalry Encampment event on June 29, where Governor Mark Parkinson will name one of them the winner of the Governor’s Award of Excellence.
Nominations will be accepted in the following four categories:1. Manufacturing/Distribution2. Service3. Retail4. Hospital/Non-Profit
“Kansas businesses continue to be the foundation of our economy, our communities and our overall quality of life,” said Secretary of Commerce Bill Thornton. “And given our nation’s current economic challenges, Kansas businesses are more important today than at any point in recent history. Business Appreciation Month is our way of thanking our proud Kansas businesses for all they do to keep Kansas strong.”
Businesses can be nominated by any individual or organization, and nominators may nominate multiple businesses.
The nomination deadline is Friday, April 9 at 5 p.m. Late nominations will not be accepted.
