Attractions and Recreation
The scenic Gypsum Hills Drive is one of the most popular attractions of Barber County. Hand drawn maps can be obtained at the Stockade Museum. The Stockade Museum is a small replica of the original stockade that was erected for the settlers of Medicine Lodge in the early 1870’s. The original markers of the corners of the stockade are located on Washington Street and First Avenue. Other attractions within Medicine Lodge include the Carry A. Nation home, Barber County Veteran’s Memorial, Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Peace Park, Barber State Fishing Lake and the Medicine Lodge Golf Course.
