Located in Southeast Kansas, Elk county is known for its gorgeous natural scenery, unique attractions and its unbeatable hunting.  For the outdoor enthusiast, there are several lakes for fishing as well as abundant hunting. Howard Polk Daniels LakeMoline New City Lake (North) and Moline Old City Lake (South) offer fishing for crappie, channel catfish, largemouth bass and saugeye. Elk county hunting is popular for those hunting quail, turkey and deer.

Some interesting attractions you don’t want to miss in Elk county, include the Grenola Elevator Museum. This museums houses artifacts representing the history of Elk county. Elk Falls Pottery offers several types of hand-made pottery. Take a drive through Moline and visit Kansas’ Oldest Swinging Bridge built in 1904.
