MED Week Award Winners
Each year the Kansas Department of Commerce's Office of Minority & Women Business Development recognizes businesses throughout Kansas who exhibit outstanding business achievements in the construction, manufacturing, professional service, retail, service, and supplier/distributor industries.

Businesses are honored in two categories:

Women-Owned Business
Businesses are at least 51% woman-owned and controlled.


Minority-Owned Business
Businesses are at least 51% owned and controlled by a minority.

2014 Minority-Owned Business of the Year Award Winners

Awards are also given for:

Kansas Women & Minority Business Advocate of the Year
Given to individuals who provide support to minority or women entrepreneurs and are able to demonstrate their efforts to advance minority or women business interests in their respective communities. 


2014 Kansas Woman & Minority Business Advocates of the Year Award Winner

Entrepreneur of the Year
Minority or woman individual who is under the age of 25.  This person must demonstrate that they have a viable business with future aspirations to grow the business.


2014 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winner

Corporation of the Year
Major corporation that has demonstrated leadership and commitment in advancing Kansas minority and/or women business enterprises through their Supplier/Diversity Program or a similar program.
