Gold Key Matching Service 

The Gold Key Matching Service is available to U.S.-based companies to introduce U.S.-made products to potential agents, distributors, sales representatives, association and government contacts, licensing or joint venture partners, end-users and other strategic business partners in the U.S. company's targeted export market. It includes customized market and industry briefings, appointments with potential business partners, post-meeting debriefing with U.S. Commercial Service trade specialists and assistance in developing appropriate follow-up strategies, and logistics planning assistance. Twenty funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participant will receive up to $800 toward the Gold Key Matching Service and up to $1,500 toward airfare assistance in the form of post-activity reimbursement. Airfare expenses must meet the “Fly America” Guidelines. 

International Partner Search

Similar to the Gold Key Matching Service, the International Partner Search program is designed to assist U.S. companies identify local agents and distributors for their products. The U.S. Commercial Service will use its strong network of international contacts to interview potential foreign partners and provide the U.S. company with a list of up to five pre-qualified partners. Four funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participant will receive up to $600 in assistance toward the International Partner Search program in the form of post-activity reimbursement.
 

Customized Market Research 

The Customized Market Research program helps U.S. companies to gauge sales potential in an overseas market, choose the best new markets for product or service, establish effective selling and distribution strategies in specific markets, find the best channels for getting product to market, discover what factors influence potential customers the most, identify existing competitors, identify potential market impediments, including quotas, duties, and regulations, and obtain the pricing of comparable products. Four funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participant will receive up to $400 in assistance toward the Customized Market Research program in the form of post-activity reimbursement.


International Company Profile
 

The International Company Profile service utilizes the U.S. Commercial Service’s worldwide network of specialists to investigate the financial strength of a foreign company and provide useful information gleaned from the local press, industry contacts, and other sources. The U.S. Commercial Service will provide a detailed credit report on a prospective overseas sales representative or partner, a listing of the foreign company's key officers and senior management, banking and other financial information about the foreign company, market information, including sales and profit figures, and potential liabilities. Furthermore, the U.S. Commercial Service will also provide an opinion as to the viability and reliability of the foreign company or individual of interest as well as an opinion on the relative strength of that company's industry sector in the target market. Four funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participant will receive up to $225 in assistance toward the International Company Profile service in the form of post-activity reimbursement.


Initial Market Check

The Initial Market Check provides participating companies with preliminary information needed to evaluate market potential. Companies receive a written report that includes:

  • A preliminary snapshot of the market potential of the company’s product/service;
  • Feedback from local contacts, including their questions/responses and level of interest in the company’s product/service;
  • Analysis and recommendations for next steps.

Four funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participating company will receive up to $325 in assistance toward the Initial Market Check program in the form of post-activity reimbursement. 


Website, Marketing Material, and Product Label Translation

Six website, marketing material, and product label translation funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participant will receive up to $2,000 in assistance toward translation service cost in the form of post-activity reimbursement.

Foreign Conformity Certification Assistance 

When looking to market overseas, U.S. companies must satisfy a new set of testing, evaluation, certification and regulatory compliance requirements before selling their products in new markets. Each country or region may mandate unique compliance requirements specific to national or regional regulatory concerns. These requirements include CCC Mark, CSA Mark, CE Marking, S Mark, INMETRO Mark, ANATEL Certification, NOM Certification, GOST-R Certification, BSMI Certification, DENAN PSE Mark, KC Mark, SAFETY Mark, etc. Six funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participating company will receive up to $1,000 in assistance toward obtaining foreign conformity certifications in the form of post-activity reimbursement.
